About Us

Peter Salussolia founded the Foundation Group, which is the parent company for Glendola Group and the Carlton Hotel Collection, in 1973.

The Glendola Group runs a number of diverse outlets including the Waxy O’Connor’s Bar in London, Manchester and Glasgow as well as the stylish Silk & Grain, while the Carlton Hotel Collection operates Four Star hotels in The Netherlands, Belgium as well as the UK.

Chairman's Statement

Our philosophy is to provide the best hospitality outlets and to offer the best possible service in a pleasing environment whether it be hotels, pubs, restaurants or nightclubs. We are in the people business and have a great respect for our customers and staff.

We are sure that our brands such as Carlton Hotel Collection, Waxy O'Connor's, Worlds End, the Vestry, Watermark Bars and the Silk & Grain will always remain outstanding in the areas that they trade.
